Ad. Our writer, Amy, visited Dalton Park pm Sunday, to check out their Santa experience...
Here is what she thought
"Today we visited the Santas Grotto at Dalton Park, which was our first festive event of the year. The grotto is based across from the play park next to McDonalds. It has a queuing system so no bookings necessary.
We were greeted at the front of the queue by a member of staff who was very welcoming and provided us with all the information we needed. This is where payment is taken. Then another member of staff invited us in to Santas Grotto. The inside was very warm and had a relaxed atmosphere. Santa was lovely and very patient.
Harry was so excited to see Santa but as soon as he saw him he went very quiet and shy. He was impressed that Santa already knew what he'd like for Christmas. We did not wait long to see Santa, and although we weren't in there very long I did not feel like we were rushed to move along especially when Harry was unsure at first going in.
Santa's Grotto key information:
Quiet sessions 11am-12pm every Sunday where they dim the lights and turn music and announcements off around the park.
The grotto is open every Saturday 10am-5pm and Sundays 11am-4pm until 24th December.
Price is £6 to visit with a £2.50 charge for a photo with Santa. "
