Christmas at Preston Park Museum & Grounds

(AD) We have been kindly invited along to experience the museum, all decked out for Christmas.

We have been visitors to Preston Park since Craig & I were little and we visit throughout the year with the boys. It is without a doubt one of the best value days out in the North East!

🎄This Christmas, Preston Park is looking fantastic once again and there's lots going on for you to enjoy. The Victorian street is decorated beautifully with traditional décor and you can even purchase your own fresh wreath for just £10. You can also find some fun photo opportunities too.

🎄There a Christmas Shop set up in the exhibition space on the ground floor and it is stunning, with some lovely decorations to purchase.

🎄Some of the shops are open for you to go inside and take a look, you can try on hats, purchase some sweets and pop into the chemist. The café is open and they sell some delicious cakes. Seating is available inside to keep warm or there a few tables outside.

🎄Visit Santa's reindeer! We did this last year too and they are super cute. You can buy a cup of moss for £1 and then you can recycle your cup to be used again.

🎄Enjoy Family Crafts - Today there ere some colouring in sheets for you to enjoy

🎄Write a letter to Santa, send it to the North Pole and you can even get a reply! (£2 charge per letter) Available until 11th December

🎄Weekends you can enjoy community choirs & performers

🎄Elf Trail! Elliot loved this, he loves a good trail. You have to find 11 elves on this self led trail around the museum and woodland walk. Most of them are outside in the street and in the woodland walk.

🎄Meet Father Christmas 3/4 December & 10/11 December

🎄No dogs except guide dogs

🎄No need to book, just turn up.

🎄Family ticket is £15 for 2 +3 and this lasts the full year!

🎄Christmas at Preston Park runs until 18th December

You can also still enjoy the rest of the museum, we love having a wander around and having a look at some of the artefacts.

There's also a little play area upstairs for kids to enjoy.

The walled garden is now closed for winter but you can still enjoy the woodland walk and a walk around the estate. Also a large play area and large car park.
