Updated: Sep 2, 2020

Honey & Cinnamon are favourites of mine, however Toby and Craig are not big Honey fans. Put those ingredients into our Biscuits and they love them.

Elliot really enjoys baking with me and we are always trying out new recipes and honey & cinnamon biscuits have become a favourite for him to bake, because they are so easy to make.

Ingredients

120g butter softened

120g caster sugar

3 tablespoons Honey.

1 large egg yolk

2 teaspoons of cinnamon

185g Self Raising Flour

Method

Cream the butter, sugar & honey together. We use a hand mixer. Beat in an egg, add the cinnamon and flour and mix until combined.

You will have what looks like bread crumbs, this is when you need to get in with your hands. Combine the mix then start dividing it into balls (like cookie dough) You can make them as big or as small as you want. We usually get 15 from this mixture.

Bake in the oven for 10 - 15 minutes on gas mark 4/180C.

You can then decorate once they have cooled on a wire rack. We like to melt some chocolate and drizzle over the biscuits and a bit of edible gold shimmer looks fab.

Enjoy.
