Family Outings North East - Family Friendly Coach Trips From Teesside| REVIEW

Ad - We were invited along to Chester zoo with Family Outings North East at the weekend and we had a fab day.

We usually drive everywhere so it was great to have a break and sit back, relax and enjoy the scenery. The coach ride was smooth and we had a great day.

Pick up

The coach picks up across Teesside Pick up points include:

Hartlepool, Stockton, Billingham, Middlesbrough. We opted for Hartlepool as this was our closest pick up point, we also knew that we could leave the car parked in the car park opposite the pick up point all day for under £3 which is a bargain.

Our coach arrived on time and we were told where we would be sitting just before we got on the bus. We stopped at every pick up point and the driver even waited at the last pick up point for a family who had been stuck in traffic and had just missed the coach the stop before, meaning that they were able to have a great day out. I know a lot of places wouldn't have waited for them.

Once everyone is on the coach you are then told what to expect, such as, You need to wear your seatbelt, we would be arriving at 11 etc. We did make one stop so the drivers could switch but this only added 5 minutes onto our journey.

The coach was clean, very comfortable with reclining seats, TV screens so you could enjoy the movie, toilet, curtains to keep the sun off your face and our trip today to Chester zoo didn't stop anywhere meaning no service stops, which with kids I always found awful because they always want something from the over priced shops. Each seat reclines enough for you to nap on the journey and has a footrest making your journey super comfy and all seats have a seatbelt that you are asked to wear.  Hot and cold drinks are available to purchase on the coach, ranging from £1 - £2.50.

I love that they let you stay until closing time of the attraction you are visiting, unlike some other coach companies who let you have a few hours and then you are moved on.

We chose Chester Zoo as our attraction for the day as it was something that was on our list for this year anyway. We visited on a Saturday during Half term so it was so busy but we still had a good day. We were asked to be back to the coach for 5.50 so we could leave at 6pm but everyone was back by 5.30pm so we left early. We then arrived back in Hartlepool for 9.15pm. We would highly recommend using Family Outings North East for a day trip or even a longer trip, very professional, the coaches are fantastic and we had a lovely Family day out.
