There's some fantastic places to visit across the UK for bookworm lovers, I have put together a list of some of the more popular options. Feel free to pop a comment below with your favourite if I have missed it.
Seven Stories The National Centre For Children's Books - Newcastle
A celebration of all things children's books. You can see original manuscripts and illustrations, dress up, read your favourite books and so much more. There's a fab book shop and café on site too. Find out More

Barter Books - Alnwick
One of the largest second hand bookstores in the UK, located in a former railway station it is huge! If you are visiting the area you definitely need to visit. Find out More

Forestry England
Most Forestry England sites have some kind of Julia Donaldson Trail.

Alnwick Castle
A popular choice for Harry Potter Fans, you can even have a go at Broomstick flying.

Whitby
A favourite for those who love Dracula written by Bram Stoker after a visit inspired the story.
You can walk up (or down) the abbey steps, explore the very same abbey as Bram and visit the many attractions Whitby has to offer to fill a full day.

Hill Top Farm
One of my personal favourites. I love Beatrix Potter and have visited Hill Top many times.
Step back in time as you wander around the grounds and house. You can even see Beatrix's Hat and some very recognisable sketches.

Beatrix Potter Trail - Brockhole
A lovely trail around the lake, you ca spot many creatures from Beatrix Potter stories.

The World of Beatrix Potter
A walkthrough experience, with Peter Rabbit coming to life through 3d.

Great Maytham Hall - Secret Garden
Frances Hodgson took inspiration from Great Maytham Hall for The Secret Garden. You can still see the hidden door to the walled garden!

An absolute must for any Harry Potter fan. It literally has everything you could imagine. Find Find out More

Haworth
Home to The Bronte Parsonage museum, the village of Haworth has a rich literary history.

Roald Dahl Museum
A child's dream, The Roald Dahl Museum is everything you can imagine from this literary genius. We are huge Roald Dahl Fans in this house!

Dickens Museum
The place where Oliver Twist was written, now if you love literature you will more than likely have read a Dickens novel. This is the place to visit if you are a fan. The museum used to be his home.

Ashdown Forest
Known for being the inspiration for Winnie The Pooh! Need I Say more?
Wigtown
A town in Dumfries & Galloway famous for its book festival and independent book stores it is worth a visit if you are in the area. We visited a few years ago and it is super pretty.
