We have been to quite a few Zoos over the years and I think the summer holidays is the perfect time to visit to get the most out of a visit. With nice weather the majority of animals can be enjoyed.

We have put together a list of the 5 Zoo's in the UK that is an absolute must visit. Here are our favourites:

Blackpool Zoo

Blackpool is one of our favourites, we have been a few times over the years and I just think it is a fantastic zoo. Very well laid out so you don't miss anything and there's so much to see. Great value for money with some fantastic gift shops and eateries. There's various talks throughout the day for various animals and you could always make a scavenger hunt/I-spy sheet to take with you.

What you can expect to see:

Squirrel Monkey

Tapir

Meerkat

Red Panda

Macaw

Lion

Giraffe

Goats

Tiger

Iberian Wolf

Penguins

and so so much more.
