The Hole in Wand - Dalton Park

We were kindly invited along to The Hole In Wand - Dalton park to try out this brand new Mini golf experience.

The Hole In Wand Dalton Park opened at the weekend and it is a fantastic new edition to North East attractions.

The hole in wand is Part of the Potions Cauldron group who first opened The Hole in Wand in York back in 2018 have now added the mystical attraction to the North East.

It is hands down my favourite Mini Golf to date.

Upon arrival you choose a dinosaur egg (golf ball) and a wand (golf club) and choose your magical name from the card.

Take on 9 holes of mini golf magic and come face to face with some of the North's most loved landmarks.

The holes are:

🔮Penshaw Monument

🔮Lumley castle

🔮The legend of Bolam Lake

🔮Weardale Fairies

🔮Gallery of legends

🔮Potions cauldron

🔮Sirens song

🔮Lair of Basilisk

🔮Beast of Bolam

Each hole has its own story and riddle and you can expect venomous creatures, magic, Riddles, Unicorn secrets, and the Grobblenook gargoyle.

You get a special drink potion after your round, flavour depends on your score and if you get a hole in one you get a badge (Elliot did!)

The detail in the course is fantastic and really well thought out, giving that magical feeling.

Please note it is not suitable for pushchairs/wheelchairs and no pet dogs allowed.

Early 2025 will see little wizards opening, which will have a wizard kitchen, wand shop, ball pit and more for toddlers and young children to enjoy.

There's also a small gift section with some fab items, I have already seen some stocking fillers for Elliot!

We will definitely be heading back regularly.

Price start from 6.99 for kids and 8.99 per adult this includes a round of golf and a potion drink.
