*Review - For The Love Of The Land Recipe Book

We were kindly sent a copy of For The Love Of The Land Recipe Book, in return for this review.

A fantastic celebration of British farmers.

During lockdown, many of us have been going back to basics and cooking a lot more than usual, we saw the supermarkets with empty shelves which lead us to the local businesses holding up the country. People were shopping more in the local Butchers, Greengrocers and bakers again, showing just how important it is to keep supporting these local, independent businesses.

Growing up, I was always in a farming surrounding as my uncle is a farmer and I would spend most of my time on his farm. I grew up with a good understanding of how the farming world works and what work is actually involved in going from field to fork.

Craig and I have always had a love for cooking and share that with the boys, as we think it is a skill that you can't go wrong with and is an important life skill to have, so when Jenny got in touch to ask if we would be interested in reviewing her brand new cookery, book we were thrilled.

For The Love Of The Land was compiled by the lovely Jenny Jefferies. Jenny wishes to bridge the gap between city and country.

I really love the stories about each farmer and think this is a great personal touch making it all feel that little bit more real.

The Book is hardback with good quality paper and gorgeous pictures of the families, farmers and food. The book is colourful and sits well on our cookery shelf with some of our other favourites. The recipes make the most out of local, seasonal ingredients to bring you some super tasty meals.
