We are super excited to be doing a weekly what's on for BBC Newcastle and Tees. We only have room for 8 events which is super tricky because there's so many good things on! You can hear our segment on BBC Radio Newcastle & Tees every Wednesday on the afternoon show. This week Craig has stepped in as I still have the awful cold virus going around.

I will do a weekly post just like this so you can easily find the events we are mentioning along with links to other handy posts.

Matilda the Musical is heading to Sunderland Empire!

Starting 12th until 28th February it is a show not to miss! Tickets are already limited so you need to be quick!

Space adventure trail at High Force Waterfall

We love a visit to High Force Waterfall and will be heading there to check out the new trail on Monday (if it ever stops raining) It sounds like a fantastic way to get the kids and yourself outdoors while learning about space and astronomy Running until 29th March

North Yorkshire Moors Dark Skies Festival

Always a fantastic event with so many things to do. Starting on Friday and runs until 1st March at various locations all across North Yorkshire. There's all sorts going on including stargazing safaris, Nature and history walks, starlight runs, mindfulness sessions, kids trails and so much more.

Mamma Mia is heading to Newcastle Theatre Royal

Always a popular show and will be so much fun. 11th - 28th February. Again be quick because it is bound to sell out.

Greatest Showman singalong is at Darlington Hippodrome Saturday 14th

We love The Greatest Showman and a singalong show is bound to be popular

Saltburn Farmers Market - Saturday 14th

If Farmers markets are your thing then Saltburn is a fantastic choice with over 35 stalls of local produce including fruit and veg, baked goods, meat, fish, sweet treats and more

Don't forget it is Valentines day on Saturday! Not only does it fall on a weekend there's a few ideas we have picked out for you including:

And for something a bit different you could check out My Bloody Valentine at Scream Factory in Redcar. These guys do some great stuff at Halloween and now they are offering valentines with a twist.
