Discover the Ultimate Gaming Experience at The Gaming Hideaway in Bishop Auckland

GAMING NUTS IN THE FAMILY?

We were kindly invited along to check out The Gaming Hideaway in Bishop Auckland just before Christmas and you absolutely NEED to check out The Gaming Hideaway in Bishop Auckland (or Thornaby).

We spent a couple of hours at the North East's only VR centre this afternoon and absolutely loved it (adults included).

This is not your standard gaming café. Yes, it has PlayStations and Xboxes, but it also has a range of amazing VR machines, including a free roam area, which was great fun!

Add to this some lush food and drink to choose from and this is an awesome way to spend a couple of hours.

We were lucky enough to have the place to ourselves and tried out a few of the VR options and the boys also had a game on the Racing Riggs and Xboxes and sampled the café offerings. We went for skin on fries, mozzarella sticks and chunky chicken bites from the great value 3 for £10 deal. These were followed by cookie dough and milkshakes. The cookie dough is huge for £5 (easy big enough for 2 to share) If you can't finish it all you can take it away in its own pizza box.

Prices...

Gamers package - 2 hours access to Playstations, xboxes and racing sims plus 3 tokens to use VR machines. Extra tokens can be purchased. £16.99

Ultimate gamers package - this includes 2 hours unlimited access to all machines, plus a footlong hot dog and a Tango ice blast. £29.99.

This is not the cheapest of gaming centres, but as soon as you step through the doors, you can see that it is still good value, as there is so much included and it is obvious that a lot of time, thought and money has gone into the place.
